Job Summary
Technology FP&A Lead Analyst at Fannie Mae responsible for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting for Enterprise Technology. You will coordinate data collection from multiple departments, perform data integrity checks, transform and validate data, and prepare management reports and board materials. You’ll support long-range planning, scenario modeling, ad hoc analyses, and resource planning, and you’ll source and analyze data for business analytics including what-if and time-series analyses to inform strategic decisions. The role requires collaboration with senior leadership, strong Excel proficiency, experience with Tableau/Power BI, and the ability to translate financial insights into actionable recommendations for both finance and non-finance audiences. Proximity to designated office locations is preferred with in-person cadence; the role emphasizes delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment and applying new technologies, including AI, to improve processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis within FP&A or Finance
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI or similar BI platforms
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting/analytics tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present financial information to finance and non-finance audiences
- Willingness to learn and apply new technologies including AI
