Job Summary
Develop fully costed business cases for technology transformation programs, establishing baselines for current and future run costs across cloud, on-prem, and co-lo environments. Prioritize initiatives into quick wins, medium-term, and long-term horizons while analyzing Capex versus Opex, lease versus buy, and vendor sourcing options. Lead comprehensive Azure FinOps assessments to identify cost drivers, optimize spending patterns, and build reusable financial models in Excel for client reuse. Deliver detailed executive summaries and TCO analyses in PowerPoint, evaluating regional tax impacts, depreciation, and charging mechanisms to simplify technology finance. Collaborate with technical resources to assess FinOps maturity and maintain Foundation Framework best practices throughout the 8-10 week engagement cycle.
Required Qualifications
- 8 to 12 Years
- strong Technology Finance background spanning at least 10 years of technology and finance
- experience fully costing transformation programmes and initiatives
- Understand treatments such as handling of Capex and Opex
- lease versus buy
- vendor contract options
- charging mechanisms
- depreciation
- tax and regional impacts
- Able to advise on financial models for recharging
- cost optimization
- simplification of technology finance
- Perform comprehensive Azure FinOps assessments

- recommend strategies for cost optimization across Azure Cloud
- Collaborate with clients to assess and optimize their cloud landscape

- extensive experience of on-prem versus cloud costs
- Able to both provide detail in Excel building

- Able to provide reporting at both detailed and exec summary level
