Job Summary
Architects, designs, implements, maintains, and operates information system security and privacy controls and countermeasures. Analyzes and recommends security and privacy controls and procedures in acquisition, development, and change management lifecycles, while monitoring for compliance. Monitors information systems for security incidents, vulnerabilities, and privacy risks, developing visibility capabilities and reporting on incidents, vulnerabilities, and trends. Responds to information system security and privacy incidents, including investigations, countermeasures, and recovery from computer-based attacks, coordinating with third-party incident responders. Administers authentication and access controls, managing provisioning and changes to user and system accounts, security roles, and access permissions. Analyzes trends in threat, compliance, and privacy regulatory environments to advise management on risk mitigation plans and performs self-assessments. Develops and administers information security and privacy training and awareness programs.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a closely-related field from an accredited college or university OR its equivalent in terms of total course credits/units [i.e., at least sixty (60) semester or ninety (90) quarter credits/units with a minimum of twenty (20) semester or thirty (30) quarter credits/units in one of the fields above or a closely-related field]
- Three (3) years of experience analyzing, installing, configuring, enhancing, and/or maintaining the components of a system or platform
- Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Clearance
- Complete employment history for the past ten (10) years
- Explanation of all gaps in employment during the past ten (10) years
- Criminal history check, including FBI fingerprints
- Drug/alcohol screening
- U.S. Custom Access Seal
- Security clearance issued by the Sheriff's Department
- Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) certificate
- Insurability under the Port's automobile liability insurance policy
- Knowledge of security operations including concepts, investigations and incident management
- Knowledge of security engineering
- Knowledge of communication and network security
- Knowledge of asset security operations
- Knowledge of identity and access management including controlling access and managing identity
- Knowledge of mobile security including managing and securing mobile devices and software
- Knowledge of security assessment and testing
