Job Summary
Aerodynamics-focused engineering role involving CFD/FEA to simulate, analyze, and design advanced turbomachinery components for centrifugal compressors. Responsibilities include creating multi-disciplinary numerical models, designing specialized test campaigns, processing empirical data, and validating designs against physical test results. Provide technical support to marketing and sales for demanding client applications. Report to the Team Leader Centrifugal Compressors and work in a hybrid arrangement on-site in Wilrijk. Required qualifications include a Master or PhD in mechanical engineering (or equivalent), strong grounding in aerodynamic and thermodynamic principles, experience with CFD/FEA, basic Python/MATLAB data processing skills, and proficiency in English or Dutch.
Required Qualifications
- Master or PhD degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent technical field
- Thorough understanding of aerodynamic and thermodynamic principles
- Experience with simulation software such as CFD or FEA packages
- Basic programming skills in Python or MATLAB for data processing
- Full professional proficiency in English or Dutch
