Job Summary
Technology Domain Owner – Banking & Commercial Lending at Toyota Financial Services (Plano, TX) leads the domain’s technology strategy and delivery across full stack initiatives, building and overseeing engineering teams, aligning with product and enterprise leadership, and driving scalable, high-availability platforms. The role emphasizes architecture, operational excellence, governance, stakeholder communication, talent development, and partnering with security, cloud, and product teams to deliver customer-facing features and backend data capabilities at global scale. Key focus areas include delivering on a lean, nimble tech stack; maintaining delivery plans; and ensuring alignment with business objectives, performance, and customer experience. Strong hands-on background in full stack engineering, cloud platforms, software design patterns, RESTful APIs, and CX engineering, with a track record of recruiting and growing top engineering talent and collaborating with senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Technology, Software Engineering or a related field
- 15+ years of engineering experience developing global customer-facing products
- 7+ years of management expertise
- Proven experience in building large-scale customer experience (CX) and distributed multi-tenant high-availability platforms
- Experience working with public cloud and on-premise platforms
- Hands-on experience in object-oriented programming, JavaScript frameworks, architecture, design patterns, RESTful API development, and CX engineering
- Experience in agile methodologies and collaborating with UX, product management, architecture, and infrastructure teams
- Proven track record of recruiting top talent and leading engineering teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional teams
- Master’s degree is a bonus
- Experience in insurance, financial, and/or banking industry
- Experience leading engineering teams in product-driven companies focusing on SDKs, CX frameworks, and SaaS products
- Experience in machine learning and GenAI
- Experience with AWS and GCP solution architecture
