Job Summary

Senior Technology Director for Make (EMEA) leading manufacturing-technology strategy and delivery across DePuy Synthes in the EMEA region. Own lifecycle management of manufacturing systems (e.g., MES, plant IT, data integration), partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering to ensure regulatory and compliance alignment, and lead regional teams while influencing global strategy. Forecast, budget, and manage vendors; drive standardization, cybersecurity, reliability, and continuous improvement of plant IT and manufacturing technology; represent EMEA Manufacturing Technology in global governance. Promote digital manufacturing, data-driven decision making, and cross-site collaboration in a matrix, multinational environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (required)
  • Master’s degree (e.g., MBA, MS in Engineering or Information Systems) preferred
  • 10-12 years of progressive IT experience, including leadership roles
  • Proven experience leading managers and senior technical professionals in a complex, matrix organization
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, plant IT, and integration with ERP, data platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with business leaders and translate operational needs into technology solutions
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, and large-scale technology programs
  • Strong understanding of regulated manufacturing environments and quality/compliance expectations
  • Preferred experience supporting medical device, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated manufacturing operations
  • Exposure to digital manufacturing, automation, Industry 4.0, and advanced analytics initiatives
  • Prior regional or global role with accountability across multiple manufacturing sites
  • Experience working across EMEA with sensitivity to regional regulatory and cultural considerations
  • Languages: English required; additional European languages preferred
  • Travel: Up to ~25% regional and international travel
  • Certifications: ITIL, PMP, or similar certifications preferred
