Job Summary
Facilitate project work plans, establish scope, and manage staffing for technology audit engagements while identifying risks and efficiency opportunities. Mentor interns and consultants, review deliverables, and apply methodologies including COBIT, NIST, and Sarbanes-Oxley to assess cybersecurity, cloud, and data governance controls. Strengthen client relationships by translating complex technology topics to executives and leveraging AI and automation for deeper risk analysis. Collaborate across diverse client portfolios to document findings, summarize recommendations, and coordinate team oversight.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or business-related field)
- 2+ years working in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or related field, either in professional services or industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Secondary emphasis on Visio and Access
- Experience with or understanding of: IT audit methodologies and developing necessary audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries
- Commonly used internal control frameworks, including COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, ITIL, etc.
- Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance, in particular the technology implications and requirements
- Ability to translate and communicate technology topics and audit issues to client personnel, including executives
- Supervisory experience of teams including mentoring, oversight and review of work, coordination across teams, and understanding how to motivate
- Experience performing documentation of findings and summarizing recommendations
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and/or RPA Solutions a plus
- Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar preferred
- Exposure to and/or interest in: The latest trends and developments in data and technology, including high-growth topics of cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, analytics, enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics etc.), disaster recovery, systems development methodologies etc.
- Analytics and technology enablement (automation, AI/ML etc.)
- Evaluating, summarizing, organizing, and interpreting data
- Establishing and cultivating business relationships and a professional network
- Interest in working with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries
- Versed in leveraging AI to enhance personal productivity as well as internal audit and SOX activities, including planning, fieldwork and reporting
- You enjoy identifying areas of business and technology risk, and opportunities to improve efficiency, increase performance, and help clients better utilize all technologies
