Job Summary
Perform magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with applicable scope, standards, and policies. Review patient history and physician orders to schedule exams, then educate patients regarding procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation. Prepare equipment and supplies while implementing safety standards and performing quality control procedures. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions as necessary. Analyze results to identify imaging quality issues, taking corrective action such as re-positioning patients or repeating procedures. This onsite role requires critical thinking and decisive judgment with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered as a Technologist (RT)
- Registered in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or registry eligible with completing of registry within 12 months by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Radiography) or by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
