Job Summary
Perform magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Review patient history, physician orders, and scheduling while educating patients regarding procedures to ensure cooperation. Prepare equipment, implement safety standards, and perform quality control procedures. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions as necessary. Analyze results to identify image quality issues, including re-positioning patients and repeating procedures when required. This onsite role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Candidates must be registered as a Technologist (RT) and registered in MRI or eligible to complete registry within 12 months.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered as a Technologist (RT)
- Registered in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or registry eligible with completing of registry within 12 months by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Radiography) or by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- This position is an onsite role
- Does not offer a hybrid or remote option
