Job Summary
Performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Responsibilities include reviewing patient history and physician orders, scheduling, educating patients about procedures and equipment, administering contrast media within scope of practice, monitoring patient condition, preparing equipment, selecting exposure factors and imaging parameters, enforcing safety standards, performing quality control, positioning patients, conducting imaging procedures, analyzing results, addressing image quality issues, entering/transmitting images, and potentially working with Radiology students. Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Required Licensure/Certification: Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (R) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R). Specialty ARRT certification(s) if required for position. State licensure if required by law. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
