Job Summary
Under the direction of a radiologist, performs general radiographic examinations and fluoroscopic imaging at a level not requiring constant supervision. Creates high-quality imaging studies, inputs patient data into PACS, retrieves orders via Epic, and ensures timely transmission of results. Prepares and administers contrast agents and assesses allergies to ensure patient safety. Maintains patient safety and dignity with 2 patient identifiers, transports patients as needed, and assists in department inventory. Participates in departmental huddles and inservices, maintains imaging and processing equipment, and communicates equipment malfunctions. Prepares exam data and supports safe, efficient radiology workflow in a 0.7 FTE schedule. Education and licensure requirements include a Post High School Diploma or Certificate Program and ARRT RTR-RT radiography certification, with BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA
- RTR-RT Radiography - ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Education: Post High School Diploma or Certificate Program AART required within 3 years of start date (Colorado statute)
