Job Summary
As an IRL Technologist I at the American Red Cross, you will perform donor and patient tests to determine compatibility, resolve testing irregularities, and provide consultation services to hospitals. Responsibilities include managing blood sample logistics, performing automated and manual tests, and consulting with medical staff on complex serologic issues. Required qualifications include MT (ASCP) certification, a Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or Chemistry, and at least 1 year of related experience. Good communication skills and teamwork abilities are essential.
Required Qualifications
- MT (ASCP) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required
- Licensure if required by state
- Good written and verbal skills to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Ability to work on a team
Desired Qualifications
- Blood Banking experience is preferred
