Job Summary
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and radiation therapy while maintaining competency in at least two modalities. Communicate exams and procedures to patients, troubleshoot computer software, and operate all patient care equipment. Provide on-call coverage for additional modalities as needed to support routine second or additional modality assignments. Maintain BLS certification and hold current licensure or certification through the state, ARRT, NMTCB, ARDMS, or ARMRIT. Requires one to two years of clinical radiology experience and a high school diploma or GED.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology
- Knowledge of radiographic procedures and practices
- Communicates exams/procedures to patients
- Knowledge computer software and ability to trouble shoot
- Familiar with imaging equipment and all other patient care equipment
- Maintain competency in a minimus of two modalities
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Credentialed, certified, or licensed in a minimum of two (2) different Radiology modalities through the state, ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or ARDMS
- 1-2 years of Clinical Radiology Experience
