Job Summary
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple modalities including CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, and radiation therapy while maintaining competency in at least two. Communicate exam details to patients and troubleshoot computer software issues to ensure equipment functionality. Provide on-call coverage for additional modalities as needed by the department. Requires BLS certification, state licensure, and one to two years of clinical radiology experience. This role supports a patient-centered standard of practice within the radiology discipline.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology discipline
- Knowledge of radiographic procedures and practices
- Communicates exams/procedures to patients
- Knowledge computer software and ability to trouble shoot
- Familiar with imaging equipment and all other patient care equipment
- Maintain competency in a minimus of two modalities
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Credentialed, certified, or licensed in a minimum of two (2) different Radiology modalities through the state, ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or ARDMS
- 1-2 years of Clinical Radiology Experience
