Job Summary
The environmental technician will join the multidisciplinary Earth Sciences and Environment team at WSP, focusing on fieldwork in environmental site characterization and rehabilitation. Responsibilities include adhering to safety plans, identifying and reporting risks, preparing excellent field notes, collecting soil and groundwater samples, supervising subcontractors, and managing project-related data. A college diploma in relevant sciences and 5 to 10 years of related experience are required, alongside a strong safety attitude and interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in environment and natural sciences or earth sciences
- 5 to 10 years of relevant field experience
- Valid driver's license
- General safety training course for construction sites (ASP)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with soil and groundwater sampling
- Willingness to learn and work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
Additional Requirements
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset
