Job Summary
Field Service Technician (Underground mining equipment) responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and/or electrical systems, commissioning of new equipment, and on-site training at customer sites. Maintains accurate time records, technical and failure reports, and parts lists; stays current with industry developments and best practices; adheres to safety policies and environmental requirements; willing to travel to mine sites across Canada and work varied shifts; bilingual ability (French/English) considered an asset.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in mechanical/electrical field or equivalent experience as Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic
- Five (5) years of related experience with mining equipment (underground)
- Ability to work in French and English would be an asset
- Previous experience with Sandvik equipment would be an asset
- Proficiency in reading hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
