Job Summary
Inspect mining equipment for proper performance, identify faults, and adjust or repair defective mechanical and electrical components to restore original specifications. Commission new equipment at customer sites and verify operational performance after repairs. Maintain service vehicle inventories, complete accurate time and technical reports, and stay current with industry best practices. Adhere to safety policies, perform risk assessments before tasks, and wear required PPE.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant trade certification (red seal is considered an asset)
- At least 3 years related experience with mining equipment is considered an asset
- Previous experience with equipment would be an asset
- Common Core training is considered an asset
- Excellent proficiency in reading hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues with mining equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel to local mine sites and across Canada as required
- Ability and willingness to work varied shifts (as required)
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Desired Qualifications
- Capacity to work in French and English, an asset
- Previous experience with Sandvik equipment or products, an asset
