Job Summary
Inspect mining equipment for faults, adjust and repair mechanical or electrical components to restore original specifications, and commission new machinery at customer sites. Test repaired units to verify operational performance, maintain service vehicle inventories, and complete accurate time records, technical reports, and parts lists. Adhere to safety policies by performing risk assessments, reporting incidents, and wearing required PPE while staying current on industry best practices. Travel across Canada to mine sites as needed for varied shifts and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant trade certification (red seal is considered an asset)
- At least 3 years related experience with mining equipment is considered an asset
- Previous experience with equipment would be an asset
- Common Core training is considered an asset
- Excellent proficiency in reading hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues with mining equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel to local mine sites and across Canada as required
- Ability and willingness to work varied shifts (as required)
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Desired Qualifications
- Capacity to work in French and English, an asset
- Previous experience with Sandvik equipment or products, an asset
