Job Summary
Inspect mining equipment for performance issues, adjust and repair mechanical or electrical components to restore factory specifications, and commission new machinery at customer sites. Test repaired units, maintain service vehicle inventories, and complete accurate time records, technical reports, and parts lists. Adhere to safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and wear required PPE while staying current with industry best practices. Travel to mine sites across Canada as needed to support continuous improvement initiatives and technical training.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant trade certification (red seal is considered an asset)
- At least 3 years related experience with mining equipment is considered an asset
- Previous experience with equipment would be an asset
- Common Core training is considered an asset
- Excellent proficiency in reading hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues with mining equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to local mine sites and across Canada as required
- Ability and willingness to work varied shifts (as required)
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Desired Qualifications
- Capacity to work in French and English, an asset
- Previous experience with Sandvik equipment or products, an asset
