Job Summary
Conduct field work for drilling and trench exploration projects, including piezometer installation and groundwater sampling using low-rate pumping techniques. Perform geotechnical and environmental soil and rock sampling, execute in-situ tests such as pressuremeters and packer tests, and conduct precise GPS surveying. Describe samples according to current procedures and standards, then draft technical reports, daily logs, and sketches. Maintain site safety protocols and coordinate with team supervisors for small to large-scale geoscience initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- DEC or equivalent education
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in geotechnics or environment
- Valid driver's license
- ASP card in health and safety
- Good command of the French language (oral and written)
- Autonomy
- Meticulousness
- Rigorousness and punctuality at work
- Very good sense of organization
- High-quality client approach
Desired Qualifications
- Geology training
- SIMDUT 2015 certification on hazardous materials
