Job Summary
The mechanical technician will perform daily maintenance activities to support plant operations, focusing on safety and quality standards. Essential responsibilities include inspecting and repairing mechanical, welding, electrical, and instrumentation equipment to minimize downtime, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and executing preventive maintenance programs. Candidates should possess experience in electrical systems, be capable of troubleshooting various mechanical systems, and demonstrate effective communication skills. A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, alongside relevant experience in a warehouse or factory environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience (Technician II)
- 3 years of experience or more (Technician III)
- Certificate from a college, technical school, or manufacturing training program
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with 480 volt three-phase electricity
- Ability to install, program, and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures
