Job Summary
Electromechanic role in a Canadian food manufacturing environment focused on preventive maintenance and optimization of mechanical, electrical, and automated production systems. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing mechanical/electrical issues, supporting morning startup, performing fabrication, welding and modifications, participating in equipment upgrades, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and adhering to food-safety and workplace-safety standards. Preferred qualifications include TIG welding, familiarity with labeling and packaging equipment, HACCP knowledge, strong communication and teamwork, and a safety-first mindset. This position is based in Chambly, QC, with Day/Night shifts and a full-time hourly compensation in the CAD range.
Required Qualifications
- D.E.P. in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics (Quebec equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing settings
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- Must be 18 years or older
- Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, kneeling, standing)
- Basic software knowledge for maintenance documentation
- Ability to work at heights and overtime, weekends or holidays with notice
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Welding experience (T.I.G.)
- Knowledge of HACCP and food industry standards
- Experience with labeling and packaging equipment (Bizerba, Omori, Ulma)
