Job Summary
Electromechanic responsible for maintaining and improving mechanical, electrical, and automated systems in the production facility. You will work hands-on with production equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safe, efficient operations. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing mechanical and electrical systems; supporting morning production startup; performing fabrication, welding (TIG), and modification tasks; contributing to equipment upgrades and improvement projects; maintaining a clean, organized workshop and plant environment; and adhering to food safety and workplace safety standards. Preferred qualifications include a certificate in equipment connection, TIG welding experience, familiarity with labeling (Bizerba) and packaging equipment (Omori, Ulma), knowledge of HACCP and food industry standards, strong communication and teamwork, and a safety-first mindset. Relocation assistance is not available.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must be 18 years or older
- D.E.P. in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics (or Quebec equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
- Comfortable with physical tasks: lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, kneeling, standing for long periods
- Ability to work at heights and overtime, weekends or holidays with notice
- Basic software knowledge for maintenance documentation
- Sufficient knowledge of maintenance documentation
