Job Summary
Electromechanic role focused on maintaining and improving mechanical, electrical, and automated systems in a food-manufacturing facility. You’ll work hands-on with production equipment, diagnose and repair issues, support morning startup to ensure equipment readiness, perform fabrication/welding/modification tasks, participate in equipment upgrades, and uphold food safety and workplace safety standards. Ideal candidates have a DEP in Electromechanics (or Quebec equivalent), at least 2 years of industrial experience, and strong teamwork and safety mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must be 18 years or older
- D.E.P. in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics (Quebec equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
- Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, kneeling, standing for long periods)
- Ability to work at heights and overtime/weekends/holidays with notice
- Basic software knowledge for maintenance documentation
- Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing and optimizing mechanical and electrical systems, supporting startup, fabrication/welding/modification tasks, participating in equipment upgrades, maintaining clean/work environment, following safety and HACCP standards
- Preferred qualifications: Welding TIG, experience with labeling and packaging equipment, knowledge of HACCP and food industry standards
