Job Summary
Electromechanic to maintain and improve mechanical, electrical, and automated systems powering our Chambly, QC facility. You will work hands-on with production equipment, troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems, support morning production startup, carry out fabrication and welding tasks as needed, and participate in equipment upgrades and projects. Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure compliance with food-safety and workplace-safety standards. Requires a DEP in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics (or Quebec equivalent) and at least 2 years of industrial/manufacturing experience; ability to lift up to 50 lb, climb, kneel, stand for long periods; willingness to work overtime, weekends or holidays with notice. Preferred qualifications include TIG welding, familiarity with labeling and packaging equipment, HACCP knowledge, strong teamwork and communication skills, and a safety-first mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must be 18 years or older
- D.E.P. in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics (or Quebec equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
- Comfortable with physical tasks: lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, kneeling, standing for long periods
- Ability to work at heights and flexible to work overtime, weekends, or holidays with notice
- Basic software knowledge for maintenance documentation
- Knowledge of HACCP and food industry standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Autonomy and safety-first mindset
