Job Summary
Electromechanic/ Electromechanicien role focused on maintaining and improving mechanical, electrical, and automated production systems. You will work hands-on with production equipment, troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support morning production startup to ensure equipment is ready. Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing mechanical and electrical systems; carrying out fabrication, welding, and modifications as needed; participating in equipment upgrades and improvement projects; maintaining a clean, organized workshop and plant; and upholding food safety and workplace safety standards. Preferred qualifications include TIG welding, labeling/packaging equipment familiarity (Bizerba, Omori, Ulma), HACCP knowledge, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a safety-first mindset.
Required Qualifications
- D.E.P. in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics (or Quebec equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial/manufacturing setting
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- 18 years or older
- Basic software knowledge for maintenance documentation
- Ability to work at heights and overtime/weekends/holidays with notice
- Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs)
- Knowledge of HACCP and food industry standards
- Experience with TIG welding (preferred)
- Familiarity with labeling and packaging equipment (Bizerba, Omori, Ulma)
- Autonomy and safety-focused mindset
