Job Summary
Electromechanic role in Cargill’s Food Enterprise division at Chambly, QC. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and automated systems; supporting morning production startup; carrying out fabrication, welding, and modification tasks; participating in equipment upgrades; maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workshop; and ensuring compliance with food safety and workplace safety standards. Ideal candidates will have a DEP in electromechanics or equivalent, at least 2 years of industrial/manufacturing experience, ability to lift up to 50 lb, comfort with heights and overtime, basic maintenance documentation software knowledge, and strong communication and teamwork skills. Preferred qualifications include TIG welding, equipment connection certificate, familiarity with labeling and packaging equipment, HACCP knowledge, and a safety-first mindset. Relocation assistance is not available.
Required Qualifications
- D.E.P. in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics (or Quebec equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing setting
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must be 18 years or older
- Comfortable with physical tasks: lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, kneeling, standing for long periods
- Basic software knowledge for maintenance documentation
