Job Summary
Lead the installation team on job sites by starting daily briefings, assigning tasks, and training new technicians. Install AV, smart technology, and lighting controls by reading blueprints, building equipment racks, and ensuring clean, organized wiring. Test systems, troubleshoot installation issues, and verify proper setup before commissioning. Maintain strict site hygiene by cleaning dust and trash daily while speaking professionally with customers and contractors. Keep daily job notes and report progress to the Project Manager. This role requires 3-5 years of installation experience and 1-2 years leading a crew.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of installation experience in AV, security, low-voltage, electrical, structured cabling, home theater, telecom, or similar work
- 1-2 years of experience leading a crew or supervising a job site
- Comfortable teaching others and leading by example
- Able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Experience installing low-voltage systems
- Comfortable using power tools, hand tools, and testing equipment
- Experience with cable management, equipment racks, and wire termination
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working on ladders and using power tools
- Strong communication skills
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Willing to travel occasionally for projects or training
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Crestron, Lutron, Biamp, Q-SYS, Extron, or similar systems
- Experience using Fluke testing equipment
- AVIXA CTS certification
- CTS-I certification
- Training or certifications from Crestron, Lutron, Biamp, Q-SYS, or Extron
