Technician, Water Systems

The Water Systems Technician maintains and ensures the efficient operation of USP water systems across all plants. Responsibilities include daily checks of USP/low conductivity water systems, performing preventive maintenance per Quality SOPs, loading salt and maintaining equipment cleanliness, documenting maintenance and sampling activities, sanitizing and sterilizing water system equipment, and collaborating with the Quality team and laboratory personnel to ensure timely sample analysis. The role supports internal and external audits, assists with troubleshooting, and may perform other duties to support operations and quality compliance. Requires ability to work in variable temperatures and humidity, frequent lifting of heavy salt bags (up to 50 lbs), potential exposure to chemicals, and flexibility for on-call or overtime. Some duties may vary by location. Education: High School or two-year vocational degree. Experience: 1-3 years in water systems or similar technical roles preferred. Skills: USP water systems operation, preventive maintenance, SOP adherence, attention to detail, troubleshooting, sampling/data collection, communication.
