Technician - Wastewater Weekends

Job Summary
Operate the wastewater pretreatment system, including daily analytical monitoring, preventive maintenance, calibrations, and compactor discharge documentation. Manage chemical inventory and assist in optimizing process operations while reviewing standard operating procedures. Perform general sanitation duties throughout the plant, such as dusting and cleaning windows and floors, alongside building and grounds maintenance. Document all MWRD reporting and water discharge data, prepare required reports, and work with purchasing to secure chemical quotes. Participate in equipment modification development and ensure facility compliance. Requires high school diploma, one year of experience, and ability to lift 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivilant
- 1 year of experience
- Basic understanding of wastewater pretreatment systems
- knowledge of basic mathematics
- knowledge of chemistry
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
