Job Summary
Operate recycling and wastewater processes, troubleshoot equipment issues, and implement system improvements to enhance safety and efficiency. Respond to process control alarms, analyze data for course corrections, and perform minor maintenance including pump replacements and instrumentation calibration. Collect hazardous waste, manage spills per HAZMAT standards, and provide training to production associates. Maintain accurate records, update internal documentation, and ensure compliance with all safety procedures and 5S guidelines. Work up to 12 hours daily, lifting up to 58 pounds occasionally, with an hourly range of $18.56 to $25.96.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- One or more years FS technical experience
- One or more years experience in an industrial/commercial operations or a technical setting
- Associates degree in a technical discipline
- Safety-first mindset
- General understanding of wet chemical processes
- General understanding of chemical compatibilities
- General electrical/electronic and mechanical knowledge
- Self-directed, ability to work with minimal supervision
- Able to troubleshoot and solve problems within the process
- Good written and oral communications skills in English
- Ability to deal with administrative as well as technical tasks
- Solid mechanical aptitude with emphasis on hands-on experience
- Valid driver's license
- 20/40 vision in each eye separately and both eyes (with or without correction), the ability to distinguish between red, yellow, and green and peripheral vision >70 degrees
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment
- Must comply with all safety standards and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in equipment maintenance and process troubleshooting
- Prior industrial wastewater treatment experience
- Industrial liquid chemical handling experience (strong acids, strong bases, and concentrated hydrogen peroxide)
- Forklift experience
- Ability to operate computerized (PLC controlled) and mechanical equipment
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel)
