Job Summary
Set up test apparatus to evaluate customer-supplied electrical devices and operate varied equipment to obtain and record test data per product standards. Analyze results, perform routing calculations, and prepare technical reports, project files, and engineering data compilations. Collaborate with team members on technical decisions regarding test standards interpretation and communicate project outcomes to clients and management. May provide training, oversee entry-level technicians, and support sales or other departments as required. Travel up to 15% with a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum College Diploma – Electrical
- 5+ years related work experience
- Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft suite
- Familiarity with product certification standards including UL, CSA, NSF
- Ability to utilize basic shop equipment and various hand tools
- Ability to review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective manner
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills, in both verbal and written formats
- Ability to travel up to 15%
- A valid driver's license and reliable driving record
