Job Summary
The Manufacturing Technician – Test 1 performs testing of cable assemblies, sub-assemblies, circuit boards, and related products following approved test procedures and engineering instructions. Responsibilities include operating test equipment to verify performance, recording test results and serial numbers, conducting visual inspections, identifying defects or non-conformances, escalating issues to Engineering or leadership, maintaining quality-system documentation, and supporting cross-functional manufacturing activities in a warehouse environment. Required capabilities include following detailed instructions, effective communication with supervisors and team members, basic electronics knowledge, and proficiency with standard Office tools. The role is on-site in Binghamton, NY, with a typical full-time schedule (40+ hours) and a focus on teamwork and adherence to quality requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of manufacturing, assembly, testing, or related hands-on experience preferred
- Basic electronics and electrical knowledge preferred
- Ability to follow written work instructions and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
