Job Summary
Senior Facility Technician at Bell Canada (Real Estate Services) based in Toronto, ON. Responsible for maintaining electro-mechanical building systems and infrastructure to ensure zero network failures and optimal environment for occupants. Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, life-safety, and direct digital control (DDC) systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, water treatment, and generators/UPS. Operates equipment such as power generators, UPS, transfer switches, breakers, and chillers; supports projects and tenant moves, conducts site tours and commissioning, and maintains documentation and warranty information. Requires BES college diploma (or equivalent), valid HVAC 313A or electrician licenses (309A/442A), English fluency, a Class G driver’s license, manual dexterity, plus ability to lift, climb, kneel, and work in restricted spaces. Work arrangement is full-time in-office (Toronto, Canada) with potential hybrid considerations per business needs; includes potential overtime and variable schedules per collective agreement; French knowledge beneficial for Quebec. Candidate should be able to work with tenants, unionized staff, trades, and executives; strong problem-solving, risk management, and independent work capabilities are required.
Required Qualifications
- Building Environment Systems (BES) college diploma or other pertinent field of studies or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid refrigeration mechanic license (HVAC) 313A with experience or electrician 309A or 442A license with experience
- Fluent in English
- Valid driver’s license - Class G
- Capable to lift and carry heavy weight
- Capable to climb and carry ladders
- Capable to kneel and bend and work in restricted spaces
- Capable to safely execute all functions/aspects of the job and meet safety requirements
- Essential: Intermediate knowledge in electro-mechanical systems and general maintenance of building infrastructure
- Essential: Troubleshooting skills, DDC systems, and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage risks under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills
