Job Summary
Conduct preventive maintenance on plant equipment to eliminate unscheduled downtime and interpret blueprints, schematics, and exploded parts diagrams. Dismantle defective machines to install new parts or repair components following manufacturer recommendations while managing work orders through the CMMS system. Assist machine operators in improving packaging machine efficiencies and initiate purchases for required parts to support maximum uptime. Troubleshoot complex electrical issues involving 5vdc and 24vdc control circuits and mechanical logic within the facility. Make recommendations for equipment upgrades and modifications to supervisors. Perform all work adhering to safety rules and regulations in a food processing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must have at least 5 years of experience with Maintenance in mechanical and electrical knowledge within a food processing environment
- Must possess knowledge in all aspects of plant equipment associated with a food processing facility
- Ishida 8 hour maintenance training certificate
- Ishida 8 hour operator training certificate
- Pacmac 8 hour maintenance training certificate
- Pacmac 8 hour operator training certificate
- Electromechanical training certificate (minimum of 16 hours total)
- Electrical training certificate (minimum of 16 hours total)
- Ability to read and write in English
- Must be able to withstand cold and wet environments
- Ability to work a variety of shifts to include weekends and holidays
- May be required to occasionally lift up to 80 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Ishida 8 hour operator training certificate a plus
- Pacmac 8 hour operator training certificate a plus
- Ability to read and write in English is preferred, although not required
