Job Summary
Coordinate the production of x-rays and perform basic radiologist tests while assisting physicians with patient evaluation and special procedures. Prepare patients for examinations, arrange examining room instruments, and maintain accurate records of all x-ray films and documentation. Initiate and maintain correspondence with patients and insurance companies, taking medical histories and vital signs to aid diagnosis. This role requires a high school diploma, one year of x-ray department experience, and ARRT certification. The position offers hourly pay ranging from $41.15 to $54.09 with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum one year experience in an x-ray department in a hospital or physician's office
- 1-3 experience as an x-ray technician performing diagnostic radiography
- Certification by American Registry of Radiographic Technologist license and New Jersey state license
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
- CPR Certification approved by AHA
