Job Summary
Coordinate the reading of all x-ray films with physicians and assist with special procedures and patient evaluations. Prepare patients for examinations, arrange examining room instruments, and maintain accurate records of x-ray films and documentation. Perform basic radiologist tests, oversee x-ray production, and initiate correspondence with patients and insurance companies. Take medical histories, record vital signs, and relay preparation instructions for laboratory tests. Ensure patient confidentiality and represent the clinic professionally in person and via correspondence. Complete a digital, on-demand interview through the HireVue platform.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum one year experience in an x-ray department in a hospital or physician's office
- 1-3 experience as an x-ray technician performing diagnostic radiography
- Certification by American Registry of Radiographic Technologist license and New Jersey state license
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
- CPR Certification approved by AHA
