Job Summary
Perform baseline and posttest measurements on sample modules for Product Reliability Monitoring, second source supplier qualifications, and stability/durability assessments. Communicate abnormal test results immediately to stakeholders for containment and corrective action. Execute first-level maintenance on test equipment and uphold Quality Control Procedures and records per ISO Standards. Requires 5 years of manufacturing experience, bilingual communication (English/Tamil), and ability to travel 1–2 months annually. Must meet physical requirements including lifting 50 lbs, wearing PPE and respirators, and complying with all safety standards. Reports to Quality Engineer - III.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic or equivalent field
- 5 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2 – 3-year experience in electronic testing environment
- Ability to communication both in English and Tamil
- Meticulous and attentive to details
- Able to adapt to changes fast and have flexibility
- Possess good tardiness
- Fast learner
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Knowledgeable in calibration/testing/measurement experience
- Knowledgeable in using measurement tools and operating equipment (multimeters, power supplies and data logger)
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft application
- Approximately 1~2 months of travel is required during a given year
- 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required
- May lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards)
- All associates working at a First Solar manufacturing or R&D facility may be required to wear a respirator at any given time and thus, the ability to wear a respirator is a condition of employment and continued employment (requires little or no facial hair)
