Job Summary
Walmart is hiring a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills with hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment. Responsibilities include receiving and processing repair Work Orders, providing prompt response to emergency maintenance calls, inspecting facilities and equipment to diagnose issues, completing required training for safe operation, and ensuring OSHA and EPA regulatory compliance. Requires 2 years of experience in commercial HVAC/R maintenance or 4 years in related field, EPA Type I/II Certification, HVAC/R certification, HS diploma, and a valid driver's license. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights. Location is La Place, LA, United States. Hourly wage range is $23.00-$45.00 with potential premiums and bonuses; benefits include health, retirement plans, paid time off, serious emphasis on education benefits through Live Better U, and other employee programs.
Required Qualifications
- Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification
- 2 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls OR 4 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field
- Type I/Type II EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR
- 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent
