Job Summary
Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigerations HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills with hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs. Receive repair Work Orders via the work order management system to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities. Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls. Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues. Complete required training to operate equipment safely. Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines by following Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines. Lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights frequently. Compensation includes a base hourly wage with potential bonuses and comprehensive benefits including medical, vision, dental, 401(k), stock purchase, life insurance, PTO, parental leave, disability coverage, education benefits, and other programs.
Required Qualifications
- Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification
- 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls OR 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls
- Type I/Type II Environmental Protection Agency Certification for Refrigerant handling
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights
