Job Summary
Conduct tests, inspections, audits, and validations to ensure process compliance with contracts, client, and KBR's KAS group requirements for aerospace and electronic component manufacturing. Validate certification and calibration for operators and special processes, while performing sampling inspections per approved plans and conducting vendor, supplier, and subcontractor evaluations. Utilize inspection tools and measuring equipment, participate in root-cause analysis, and collect statistical data for trend monitoring. Provide training to other personnel, participate in design reviews, and submit activity reports to management. This 20–30 hour per week role requires U.S. citizenship, a high school diploma, three years of experience, and GD&T test completion.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience
- U.S. Citizenship Status
- Full understanding of the quality system
- Understanding of quality processes
- Ability to read, understand and interpret prints/drawings and other technical documents that describe the system and processes
- Ability to use most inspection tools, measuring and test equipment
- Trained in the use of TQ tools
- Ability to read and understand policies, procedures, and processes
- Must pass Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T) test to be given by the first week of employment
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel independently
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for travel
- Must be available for 20–30 hours per week
Desired Qualifications
- Previous source inspection or supplier audit experience
- IPC-A-610 certification
- J-STD-001 certification
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification
- IPC-A-600 certification
- Familiarity with AS9100
- Experience supporting NASA, DoD, aerospace, or other high-reliability manufacturing customers
