Job Summary

Operate orbiter machines according to established procedures, monitor performance, and perform routine maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and component replacement. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, execute repairs, and maintain accurate documentation while supporting preventive maintenance activities. Conduct quality checks to verify compliance with GMP and FDA standards, resolve production bottlenecks, and provide technical support to production teams. Collaborate with cross-functional partners on equipment upgrades and participate in training initiatives. Adhere to safety requirements and report hazards promptly within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing production
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, and blueprints
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with orbiter equipment components and repair techniques
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated proficiency within manufacturing work centers and production operations
  • Frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Team lifting or lifting equipment is required for items over 40 pounds
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 75 pounds with assistance or proper lifting equipment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull materials, tools, and equipment
  • Perform repetitive hand and finger movements requiring significant manual dexterity
  • Ability to inspect equipment and read technical documentation with close visual acuity
  • Color vision may be required to identify color-coded components, wiring, indicators, and safety signals
  • Ability to utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and other equipment as needed
  • May require rotating shifts, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime to support business needs
