Job Summary
Technician at PerkinElmer performs assembly and testing of instruments and service parts, troubleshoots testing fallout instruments, and monitors manufacturing processes to ensure product quality per work instructions. Responsibilities include collecting and compiling quality data, managing materials control with regular cycle counts, maintaining inventory accuracy, meeting daily production targets, participating in multi-skill training and on-the-job training for new technicians, engaging in cross-training and job rotation, supporting workplace safety programs and 5S activities, upholding safety and compliance standards, and implementing improvements to productivity and product quality. The role involves performing other manufacturing-related duties as assigned to support production operations; candidate should have a minimum certification in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) and 2-3 years of manufacturing experience, with a proactive, team-oriented mindset and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Certification Mechanical, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- High degree of technical competence, creativity, and problem-solving skills related to manufacturing processes and equipment
- Willingness to undergo job rotation and cross-training to develop a broader skill set and understanding of manufacturing operations
