Job Summary
Technician Motor Transport/Automobile Mechanic to perform preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on motor vehicle equipment and systems, individually or as part of a technical team, within a designated area of the facilities. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting vehicle electrical and engine system diagrams, setting up and using test equipment (including Digital Multimeter) to diagnose faults, raising PMS fault reports, daily utilization reports and CMMS work orders, applying knowledge of plumbing, drainage and pipework standards, and leading or assisting the lead technician for maintenance tasks and troubleshooting. Requires strong safety compliance, ability to troubleshoot and fault-find on various motor vehicles and special equipment, and effective English communication; prior airport maintenance experience is a plus. This role requires the candidate to perform tasks safely and correctly across PM routines, preventive maintenance, inspections, and configuration/modifications as part of a team, with a focus on quality and getting it right first time.
Required Qualifications
- High School Certificate or Industrial Training Institute Diploma (3-year duration) in Motor vehicle, Maintenance or equivalent
- IOSH Working Safely Certificate or equivalent
- Current valid UAE driving license is desirable
- Minimum three (3) year experience within a motor vehicle maintenance workshop or similar environment
- Very good level of English (spoken and written)
- MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) proficiency
Desired Qualifications

- Ability to read, interpret and describe functionality of vehicle electrical and engine systems from drawings
- Ability to set up and use test equipment including Digital Multimeter and in situ diagnostic equipment
- Ability to raise and complete PMS fault report sheets, daily utilization reports and CMMS work orders
- Knowledge of Local and International Plumbing, drainage & Pipework Standards and Regulations
- Ability to troubleshoot and fault-find on automobile equipment and special vehicles
- Experience leading or assisting a lead person for PM, breakdown troubleshooting, inspections, and configurations
- Ability to communicate with staff, stakeholders and customers in oral and written English
- Airport experience considered an added advantage
