Job Summary
Maintenance Technician II at First Solar in Trinity, AL: Performs on-site maintenance of facility, equipment, and grounds as directed, adhering to OSHA/EPA safety practices. Requires knowledge of manufacturing equipment, CMMS, and electro/mechanical skills; capable of reading prints and technical manuals; may train others and serve as Team Lead in absence of a tech III. Travel not required. Must meet safety standards and PPE requirements; interacts with other departments and seeks cost-saving opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED and 3+ years maintenance experience
- High school diploma/GED and 5+ years in a related field
- High school diploma/GED and 2-year technical school & 3+ years' experience
- Journeyman’s Card from an accredited apprenticeship program preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment
- Knowledge of CMMS (preferred)
- Proven electro/mechanical skills
- Ability to read electrical & mechanical drawings and technical manuals
- Knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, Vacuum Systems and Robotic
- Ability to follow Safe Work Practices
- Full understanding of LOTO
- Capable of troubleshooting to the systems level
- Must be able to pull reports and enter data into CMMS
- Proven communications skills
- Ability to work independently with no supervision
- Ability to train other employees
- Travel: No travel required
