Job Summary
Maintenance Technician performs repairs (both minor and major) and general maintenance work (light electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.) for Benchmark Senior Living communities; implements regular and preventive maintenance programs; communicates with the Maintenance Director on building and equipment conditions; handles proper chemical usage and biohazardous waste procedures; maintains organized laundry areas and adheres to chemical handling standards; works within the work-order system to fulfill maintenance tasks; brings strong mechanical skills to support a safe, well-maintained, and aesthetically pleasing environment for residents and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Familiar with emergency procedures if chemicals are misused
- Demonstrates the interest and ability to learn new skills and techniques as needed
- Demonstrates proper usage of chemicals and equipment
