Job Summary
Industrial Maintenance Technician responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining highly automated production machinery; perform predictive/preventative maintenance, read schematics, repair VFDs, servo motors, PLC I/O, and safety modules; utilize fabrication skills (MIG/TIG/STICK) for repairs, welding, and equipment upgrades; ensure GMP compliance, PPE usage, and accurate maintenance records; coordinate with production, update SOPs, train staff on basic operation, manage parts via CMMS, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Associates degree, certification or higher within a technical field preferred
- 1 – 3 industrial maintenance experience in high-speed manufacturing (beverage or packaging preferred)
- Safe use of hand and power tools, welders, lifts, multi-meters, industrial shop equipment
- Read and interpret schematics for process and instrumentation diagrams, repair VFDs, servo motors and controllers, PLC I/O cards, safety modules
- Forklift experience a plus (certification not required)
- Proficient in MS Office and CMMS
- Must adhere to GMPs and PPE requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and endure 8-12 hour shifts
- Ability to work in hot/cold temperatures and a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Provide training to production staff on basic equipment operation and routine maintenance
- Process improvement and project involvement
