Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on equipment to avoid downtime, focusing on Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and specialty lines like large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment. Utilize advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems to troubleshoot issues while maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced environment requiring flexibility with changing priorities. This role supports Sunbelt Rentals, the fastest growing rental business in North America, offering extensive on-the-job training and career track development in service or operation management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 + years of Technician experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems & troubleshooting skills
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems & troubleshooting skills
- Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to bend, squat, crouch, reach, lift 50 pounds or more, and work indoors/outdoors when required by the job
Desired Qualifications
- Some trade school or equivalent training
- Experience with large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment
- Related experience as Shop Mechanic, Mechanic, Technician, Service Foreman, Service Manager, Shop Manager, Mechanic Supervisor, Technician Supervisor, Lead Mechanic, Lead Technician, Diesel Technician, Diesel Mechanic, Service Technician, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Hydraulic Technician, Hydraulic Mechanic, ASE Certified Mechanic, IFPS Certified Technician
