Technician Lead, Pharmacy

Lead Pharmacy Technician role focused on advanced technical tasks within specialty areas. Provides expertise in medication histories, sterile and non-sterile preparation, payer adjudication, call center and clinical pharmacy support, automation, inventory management including controlled substances, and repackaging. Collaborates with pharmacy leadership, peers, nurses, and providers to improve patient outcomes and quality metrics; identifies operational improvement projects for presentation or publication. Serves as subject matter expert for designated area, trains and precepts technicians and students, develops training content and department standard work, and supports policy updates. Requires completion of a pharmacy technician training program, and multiple licenses/certifications including CPHT, PHAT, PBID, PTCB, and BLS; position embodies Denver Health’s mission and focuses on continuous growth and patient safety.
