Job Summary
Laboratory Technician Generalist performing testing and quality control across operational departments; operates instrumentation, prepares reagents, and reports results; communicates with nursing/physicians regarding patient results and assists in various projects as needed; must be able to work independently under supervision of Laboratory Department Manager, Laboratory Site Manager/Supervisor or Lead Technologist; ASCP certification required within 12 months after hire date; 1-3 years clinical laboratory experience preferred; location in Elmer, NJ; typically a full-time night shift.
Required Qualifications
- ASCP or equivalent, certified, or eligible, required.
- Certification must be achieved within 12 months after hire date.
- High school diploma or equivalent with 50-week military training as Medical Lab Specialist or graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory or Clinical Laboratory training program.
- 1 to 3 years clinical laboratory experience preferred.
- Associate of Science in laboratory science preferred.
